Ooh look tiny little CD zooo CUTE! And all that. PPW squirt through 6 brief songs of Spy vs
Spy style indie/emo riffery with much abandon. I am quite surprised that most of the songs
struggle to actually make it past the 127 second mark, as this kind of music would seem to
suit a longer duration, but hey. In the meantime you get quickfire bursts of melodic yet
mathematical riffing and two chaps chirping in an off-key fashion. Its all very excitable
and fun for the most part, and is sure to be appreciated by anyone who enjoys the likes of
Braid or the much missed Spies. Its all rough and ready, the production and song writing
isn’t overly polished but I find it is still eminently solid and enjoyable. Just a shame that the songs don’t last long enough to really get themselves buried in your head. Despite that, if you enjoy herky-jerky indie/emo then this is definitely worthy of your attention, particuarly if yours is of a particularly short span in nature. Rather nice to hear a band playing this kind of thing once again on our shores.
