Pole - 45/45 - 12

Labels: Mute Records

I’ve enjoyed this a lot more than the yellow lp (which is deemed a total classic), it’s a lot easier going and less reserved. The tracks are definitely really dark but being (electronic) dub music you cant really help but think of Summer. The beats used on this record make quite the difference too, it gives you something to hold onto even thought they are difficultly placed.

The last song threw me a bit, its like a dubby Boards of Canada / Arovane piece. It’s sweet and takes it time to flow through you with a really relaxed feel. Spppaacceeddd oouuuttt mmaannn! Pole makes me wanna smoke a reefer! Ya hear!
