Primitive Painter is good. Bleepy cut up electronica with some deep housy / techno elements, pretty similar to mid Aphex Twin with a slight Bomb The Bass influence too! I can imagine going to see em in Moog on a Sunday night after a stupidly big tea and a few spliffs. The repetitive beats don’t get boring and even though the track is well short it manages to keep my attention.
Pulby is pretty strange and at first I thought it was a bit corny and didn’t enjoy it too much but now the poppy electronics sound great. The music sounds like an electronic interpretation of Beat Happening. It’s simple, but it’s wicked at the same time. Just like most of my mates.
I think I prefer Pulby now, I find myself listening to their side again and again. Its one of those 7″s. Find this 7″ and get it you know you want too.
