Providence Union - s/t - 7

Floridian screamin’ emo hardcore that rocks the house. And it’s one of those records with a giant hole in the middle. “Conceit” is very rhythmical, and is the type of song that makes you want to curl up tight into a ball and rock about. You can tell these people are upset. And that they like Moss Icon. And good on them, as that style of hardcore is generally intricate, often original despite leaning on an influence, and rarely fails. Their lyrics are more fathomable than the big M though.

On the other side “Reach” starts out with ominous twinkling, and you know that any minute they are going to break it out. The vocalist awakens and starts shouting, and moments later, they hit the groove and the room is shaking to the slow, thumping passion of the whole thing. Exact movements from the quiet to the crunch are played out well, and with nice changes of pace too.

Emo to break stuff to.
