Right. 7 songs here of varying quality. Once again I find myself liking certain bits of songs rather than the track overall, there are certain riffs and parts of songs and sounds the guitars make that sound really good but they are often over too quickly or go on for too long. Querelle play a fairly rocking brand of, er, rock, with nice vocals and a few post rock moments. Yeah, it makes me nod my head and tap my feet, but it’s nothing particularly special. It doesn’t make me sad or happy or feel much of anything. At least this came in full packaging rather than a simple slipcase. Ew, the track ‘Insect-o-cutor’ sounds quite a lot like The Music. It has those echoey long winded vocals and repetitive guitar riffs. I guess this is an alright CD, it doesn’t offer anything new but isn’t as bad as some things I’ve reviewed recently.
