Remote Viewer - Here I Go Again On My Own - LP (2002)

Labels: City Centre Offices
Review by: Chris Bress

Another great release from this Leeds electronica bunch! This follows along from their 7″ and the remix 12″ that I’ve got very nicely. “Here I go again on my own” is really nice and melodic and at time playful like a lot of the tigerbeat6 releases (imagine a much more melodic Blectum from Blechdom). There are moments of cut up melodic guitar parts which sound a lot like the Aerial M remix lp or at times a tiny bit like a mix of Gastr Del Sol meets Aphex Twin. The track “the sound of a finished kiss” is beautiful! I think this is kind of a jump forward for the Remote Viewer though, its nice that they’ve got this album out, they definitely should get more credit! They were wicked live as well.

This label has so much good stuff on it and this record makes this labels roster even better! They’ve done stuff for Bauri, Skanfrom, Pole, Metamatics, To Rocco Rot and loads more great experimental melodic electronic music.

Check this album out its fucking great.
