Labels: Deathwish – Reflections

So this band got a bit of a mauling last time out on here in one of Carlin’s reviews, so much so that even someone from the then label (jttp) came to our humble little site to defend them, and, well, maybe some of it stuck as this sounds like a totally different band all told. So it’s partly down to the impressive – initially almost impenetrable – wall-of-noise production job which makes them sound way dirtier and darker and more like Cursed or something, but the songwriting and stuff is also a lot less obvious and sees the band kind of marking their territory a bit more confidently.
It’s still music that is only going to appeal to a certain kind of person I guess but might well surprise some of the more curious cats…
