I thought that the last Sage Francis cd was pretty good but it didn’t do that much for me except the first track. This 12″ looks great, its got a wicked cover, lovely blue vinyl”¦but does it sound any good? Eh?
Yeah its pretty good. The main tracks fucking wicked. “Narcissist” does at times show Sage sounding a little like Eminem, but for fucks sake how much better is Sage Francis and hes obviously a lot more intelligent than the slim shady.
The second track pisses me off a bit, its an alright song and his rhyming is pretty good but they ruin it by putting this really annoying wolf whistling in it.
“Makeshift Patriot”, the third track is a bit emo but its nice, it reminds me more of the def jux rappers than anticon ones”¦which is a good thing if you ask me.
Overall, at 6 tracks for a fiver this is well worth it.
