Seventh Judgement - Allies Amidst Infidels - CD (2003)

Labels: Burial
Review by: Chris Bress

On first look the only thing this band had going for them is that they thanked a band called Brutal Fight, the backing vocals were by an army of vikings and that they have a really funny picture of them on the back. Unfortunately the music didn’t do that much for me, I wanted to like it but it just plodded along and it does fuck all for me, I wish there were some faster parts or some more interesting metallic riffs (the riff at the end of track two didn’t quite cut it for me, but it wasn’t too far off). It kind of sounded like Unruh but without any ideas and the odd beat-down part. Every now and then they come out with something that sounds alright like the almost Suffocation like intro to track three, but they ruin it by doing stupid vocal parts and boring mosh-led riffs which leave me feeling bored. I’d probably still go and see them and if you like metallic UKHC you might want to check this lot out.
