Now this one has got me stumped. How to convey the sheer delight that washes over me every time I listen to this record without reverting to lines such as “I suggest you pick this up, it brightened up my day and it may do the same for you”? Because although this is undoubtedly an accurate reflection of how I feel about this record, I swear I’ve written that somewhere before, maybe within these pages or else it is taken directly from the pages of a now defunct ‘zine that was once a big part of my life a few years ago. I sometimes wonder why I never picked up a pen again and wrote another issue. What the hell has happened to me since those days? But right now, we’ve got some other business to attend to…what we have here are 12 melodic and catchy pop tunes that certainly have a prominent PROMISE RING influence on a number of tunes, but there’s also a little B’EHL on tracks such as ‘didn’t know it was you’ and ‘stuck dreaming’…THE END?
P.S. Maybe it’s time to pick up that pen again…
