I wish it was Halloween again. I would throw the party of the millenium. *Aherm.*
New records in the mail and this is one of them. Nice, beautiful, red packaging , grey swirl vinyl…let’s go! S.O.Z’s ‘Theme of Bastard Children’ starts off with some mental piano pieces that sort of leads you into this old haunted house. Then drags you to this room only to leave you realizing that your throat will be slit any moment by The Count. Until evil grinding distorted vocals and guitars embrace you. This is like listening to Swing Kids + Mohinder + Torches To Rome at 100 rpm. (or even more) And once you think you’re ready to handle this tornado of insanity, it all calms down nicely to the piano pieces again.
Likewise with Spread The Disease. They throw in 2 tracks.(‘Cryst of The Unborn’ and ‘Black Eyed’) In the similar veins of S.O.Z but more rocking, much faster and ultra mega fast drumbeats ala Locust syle. The latter track ending with women chanting in the background.
I love this 7″ and you will too.
You will be happy.
You will be satisfied.
You will be disturbed.
