Stack - Narsaak - split - 7

Stack are up first and take the Germanic sounds of Acme, Linsay and all those other crazy cats and put them through the hardcore/powerviolence wringer. The first three ditties zing by short and sharp but with no little amount of malice, a screaming, flailing wall of wailing vitriol. The final track beats around the bush a bit more, toying with its prey with slow drag-chords that are interspersed with cheetah-quick jugular shots. Narsaak, sadly, aren’t quite so hot, and the fact that their side of the record skips like heck doesn’t exactly help me warm to their metal-tinged hardcore. So, to conclude: Stack can come round mine to play with my Transformers anytime whereas Narsaak would be lucky if I’d go round theirs just to stamp on their Zoids. Sucks to be them.
