Popkid pull out all the stops with this release for Swedish band Starmarket. Check it out – two slabs of lovely white vinyl contain the three songs and the spare fourth side sports an awesome etched logo type thing.
And as fantastic as the packaging is – the music is equally as impressive. ‘Stayin’ Cool’ is really poppy but with a very prominent and rumbling bass sound throughout. Its pretty much the ideal tune people had in mind when they invented car stereos. In a nice contrast ‘First In First Out’ is more “emo-pop” while ‘Not Like You’ angles for a more explosive sound and doesn’t come back empty handed.
One very cool record – hunt it down!
