Ten Volt Shock - s/t - 7

Labels: X-Mist

I understand that this new German band feature a member of Kurt. Or Kurt Warner’s member. Or something. Just thought I would relay that vital piece of information to you! On the offchance that this little snippet of data leaves you with a giant cartoon question mark hanging over your head, I will now attempt to describe the musical fun that 10 Volt Shock perpetuate on two sides of this plastic that has the area of pi * 3.5 squared.

10 Volt Shock smokes! Well, musically. I would not like to make any other allegations. They do not sound like Le Shok, just in case you were making stupid guesses based on their name. They sound a vague little bit like a rock band that rocks. If push came to shove, then I would likely fall over or at least wobble a bit. If you then enquired as to what 10VS sounded like, I would say: “Like if Drive Like Jehu moved to Washington DC”. Though I would have to elaborate on this, because DLJ wouldn’t suddenly sound different simply because they moved up the road a bit. I would have to say “Like if Drive Like Jehu were influenced by various Dischord label bands”. That would be more informative. I hope. They play lots of power rocking riffage and distort things up whilst yelling. Lots of energy and bass splurging. This is exactly how I like punk rock to sound. Fast, furious, frantic, fmelodic and finventive. Very danceable I would say. I like this a fucking lot mate.
