Second groove-ridden outing for this dextrous two-piece, and from the off it’s clear that the time they’ve spent away has seen them gleefully honing their chops into something truly monstrous. Thick, jittery riffs tug themselves free from the fretboard and hurtle into one another for a math rock tussle-fest of Herculean proportions, letting their sense of arty complexity run rife whilst maintaining a playful sense of melody. Powerhouse drumming beats the multitudinous hammer-ons and pull-offs into shape as the guitar tone shifts ominously between brain-needling treble tones and spine-rattling bass-shakers, making for a mighty fine second outing that manages to be both baffling and eminently danceable.
