The jealous sound is a great new(ish) indie rock band most ‘famous’ for being the latest band of former Knapsack front bod Blair Shehan, who has made some amazing rock over the years. Does Jealous Sound live up to this? Pretty much so, yeah….
Musically it uses a few of the same tricks over again during the course of the lp but as individual songs you can’t fault them. Catchy, touching rock songs that aren’t trying to be too clever, and Blair’s voice is still perfect for his music, adding a nice melancholy touch that would probably sound really cheesy from a lesser talent, whilst embarassing lots of other crappier bands in the process. Sweet.
Overall, not as varied or as hard rocking as prime Knapsack but still definitely well worth a listen, so what are you waiting for?
