This is gorgeous (like you). Wow. I am depressed there are only 500 copies of this. More than 500 people should hear it. Simply for the song that occupies all of side A, entitled “I Think This Is My Exit” – a slumbersome, lulling solo effort where Hrishikesh sings softly over gently plucked guitar, before things fill out into a beautiful warm sound, introducing cello, violins and piano as the song winds it’s way onwards. It is very similar to Australian band Sodastream, who will forever hold a special place in my heart now, so anything that brings back those memories is going to trigger this kind of response from me.
Ther are two songs on the flipside, “Measure Mile Begins” is an instrumental number that will make you fall off your seat and hide in the duvet in the same way that Aerial M do. It is rainy weather music. Violins and slowly flowing guitars, fantastic. The last track, “Sports Car”, is a Wedding Present cover, which doesn’t mean too much to me I am afraid. Obviously I have heard of the band, but not this song. It fits in with the rest of the tracks on here very nicely, reminds me of Sean Na Na.
It’s good to see TMU getting back on track with releases like One AM, and the new Panthers LP. Yes, I like this. Thank you.
