I like this a lot. Not only do they have a name that is a reference to the Soviet Union, but they play top notch emo hardcore into the bargain. “Jetset” is really hectic with frantic strained vocals and lots of off-kilter guitars shooting off everywhere. I’d put it in the same boat as bands like Harriet the Spy, lots of energy and complex rhythms as well as cool time changes. They thank the singer of Hail Mary, and you could make some stylistic comparisons there. “Epiphany #2” is more of the same, perhaps a little more controlled and certainly slower. I think I prefer the other song. Anyway, I’m pretty sure if you like stuff like 400 Years and Yaphet Kotto you’ll enjoy the Red Scare too.
