The Suicide Machines - A Match And Some Gasoline - CD (2003)

Labels: Side One Dummy

For some reason, lots of awesome bands that haven’t done anything for a while are now releasing records that carry a lot of hype with them.

The Suicide Machines, whose oldie Destruction By Definition was a show-stopper, are next in line.

Unfortunately, as with most of these dormant bands, this new one doesn’t live up to the hype. Does anything these days?

Some pretty solid tunes, complete with fantastic musicianship, mixed in with some very average (and even sub-par) ska-punk tunes.

Never mind, eh? Destruction by Definition is amazing, if you like ska-punk, and they have a greatest hits comp called “The least-worst of the Suicide Machines”) that looks pretty cool.

Awesome band, middle-of-the-road record.
