There’ve been a few new bands making some waves recently, and one of those is the Sword. The Band is made up of the other half of Joe 90 who didn’t become the Dauntless Elite, and Matt from Dugong.
This album is probably one of the best things to come out this year from a UK band, and is out on clean it up records priced at whatever a pint of Stella is at whichever venue they are playing that night. The CD contains 9 tracks of slighty gruff, melodic pop punk with amazing harmonies but not too squeaky clean.
Stand out tracks are ‘Want for Nothing’, ‘Western Front’ and ‘Tonights the night’.
Fantastic band, should make some serious waves on the UK scene this year, so buy 2 copies, one for you and one to sell on ebay in 5 years time.
