Labels: Act Your Age
Review by: Ian Cavell
Not the most instant of bands but with a little effort I’ve really come to appreciate the tie that binds. But annoyingly I’m at a loss to describe the kind of sound that they create. Its certainly very emo-rock but at the same time it doesn’t skimp on the energy-fueled punk side of things, at times, effortlessly shifting between the two. ‘Adding Machine’ is the best of the three, and the way it explodes into sublime melodic hardcore is the high point of the 7″. The b-side features ‘steven in the mix’ and ‘untitled’. The former offers a bigger nod to melodic punk than the a-side while the latter goes all emo in a nice instrumental way. I liked both.
