Tragedy, The Indian Queen, Boston – oh man. What a fucking gig that was, and to think that the whole Nottingham bus actually survived their brutality, getting lost in Asda, special brew, jagermeister, wall-surfing (yes thats the only way I can think of to describe it) and the harsh streets of Boston! It was amazing.
This is a tour-only single that is one exclusive song and one re-recorded track (I think). Luckily this isn’t like their awful 7″ that followed their incredible debut 12″ (I’m sorry but that 7″ sounded like 59 Times the Pain), it’s amazing. Very much in the vein of their most recent lp (also fantastic) it rips it up in a style not unlike a lot of Scandinavian crust bands (State of Fear etc) but it also has a bit of an ABC Diabolo feel and the shades of His hero is Gone and Uranus also shine through.
I don’t know how all these ex-His Hero is Gone bands do it (Deathreat, Tragedy, Funeral) but they just make ace records nearly every time.
The recording is as ever fucking incredible.
