This is some pretty neat messed about hardcore punk with an emo element. First song “Names Are For Tombstones” rocks a long at a fair pace, guitars soar and dive around confusingly, whilst the singer sounds extremely desperate and panicky, and they then carry this on over the rest of the songs. Apart from the final one, “Heaven’s A Drag” which still features the pleading vocals, but has a nice jangly intro, and then slows things down, making them a bit more straightforward.
This record can initially come over as a bit messy (although I think the production might have something to do with that), but you can piece things together.
Nothing truly original or groundbreaking, because they’re seeimingly taking big nods from Nation of Ulysses, then adding a bit of their own sound, but fairly good nonetheless.
