Turnpike Glow - Rush Home - CD (2005)

More midpaced soft indie rock (this time from Italy) that, while quite nice and dreamy in places, is pretty much absolutely average. When it gets all floaty and drawn out like in ‘Chopin (Wears Your Best Gown)’ it sounds lovely, the soft vocals and echoed basslines whirl their way around and it all sounds so lazy and sweet. The rest of the EP doesn’t really have as many good moments, there are a lot of rather dull meandering instrumental sections and although bits of these tracks sound decent enough, as a collection of songs it can be a tad forgettable.
