Another limited Speedowax release – and this is some tour line up!
Vanilla Pod have got their ‘Trigger’ album reviewed elsewhere this month and the track they have here is lifted straight from that. ‘Problems’ is the best track on this 7″ and a fine slice of pop-punk (not used that phrase for while).
Turtlehead’s ‘Godsend’ is also a great tune – more classy, tuneful pop-punk of which the world always needs more of. Its only the 2nd song I’ve heard by Turtlehead (and the other one was actually better) so I’m eager to get my hands on something by this band.
The other two bands are Raggity Anne and Jayne Doe. The former chip in their contribution of melodic pop-punk, raw-ish vocals and a great tune. The chorus is highly infectious too. Jayne Doe probably have the weakest track here. ‘This Town’ is ok, but not much to shout about alongside the other three.
Get this!
