Side A:
Monorchid ‘Red Meat’
I was actually looking forward to hearing this band knowing they have
a release on Gravity. And I am VERY partial to Gravity Records but
unfortunately this track is a waste. Bleaurgh.
The Shivers ‘Woodie’
Very rock and roll in that 60’s au-go-go fashion. These Brooklyn kids
will keep your toes tappin’ and doing the limbo.
Side B:
Bluetip ‘F-Minus’
“F-minus stands for fucker…” and you better believe it. Total
rockin’ in that true D.C style. Reminding me of the faster songs on
Fugazi’s ‘In On The Kill Taker’.
Frodus ‘Cha-Chi'(English Version)
Such nonsense lyrics! “You said you wanted to know. You said you
wanted to know now. Now you want chocolate. Revert Cro-Magnon.” Huh???
But it’s about chocolate so it’s not really that nonsensical. Swarmin’
guitars, screamy vocals, all those familiar RAAARGH elements. I like.
Only get this 7″ if you’re a die hard fan of any of these bands.
