What Venetian Snares offers here is a lot more interesting than the last twelve I heard from him, especially the first track. It’s a complete all-out blast of mashed-up drum n bass, gabba, hardcore and techno. It’s really grimy and makes me kind of wish I’d gone to see him instead of the Sightings (especially as it was just round the corner from my house!). The vocal on this track doesn’t really add much to this piece but it doesn’t ruin it either.
The other mixes are pretty good as well, the second one really reminded me of something from the Doormouse mix cd. This would definitely make me dance if I was on the town.
