Outside of this band having a stupid name and being connected to some old indie band that I forget now, I find this really good. Vince Mole is playing kind of stoned indie. Very chuggy and spacey, the bass gives it a weird atmosphere that pervades throughout this record, the vocals kind of fade into the background and all is good. “Nothing” fills side A and does a good job of making you feel rather detached from what you were supposed to be doing, although I am supposed to be doing not much at all. It chugs a long repetetively and nicely, your mum might like it if she smokes dope and enjoys the Beatles. Towards the end it gets totally psychedelic and screwy. Like dude.

Side B gives up 2 songs. “It’s Raining In My Mouth” starts off like some kind of Superchunk gone wrong. Actually, it even reminds me of Fountains of Wayne too. Very much like indie pop attempting to sound not pop. Fuzzy guitars and an utter stoned indie bastard is what this really is. They finish on “the Room Song” which is very melodic and catchy, totally 60’s homage indie rock. I dig it. I would dance badly to this at the Waterfront at 1am. Bring on the Monkees.

Great 7″! Where’s my whiskey?
