Raa. Walken has the same dude who sings for Funeral Diner these days don’t you know. Anyway, Walken is total metal. My tolerance for metal doesn’t really extend beyond a love of Neil Perry and maybe some Iron Maiden or whatever. But Walken really rock it here. They play this total metal style and they are having fun. It blasts about and the vocals are gnarly. The breaks are absolutely melodic and moshable. Pretty intricate too. There is a bizarre sample regarding sex. hMMM. Oops, I had capslock on there. Yeah, Walken is metal. Do you like metal? Ok, you might like Walken. I can rock the air guitar to this or make the metal sign and get my hippy hair going all over the shop, you bald bastard. I keep thinking it finishes but it fills a side on 33rpm so it’s fucking long. Longer than my hair in fact.
Senneval is on the other side and they play screamo. In other words they yell a lot whilst the guitars go all over the shop. Very hyperactive and too frenetic to be confused with their metal brethren on the other side. A little more technical than I normally would listen to but this is super solid and I would recommend it to people who like Off Minor or Orchid and bands of that ilk. They are pretty chaotic, but overall this is standard stuff played solidly.
