Where Fear and Weapons Meet - s/t - CD (1998)

Labels: Revelation
Review by: Russell Opie

Straight Edge Hardcore is the way forward people! Ian reviewed their album a couple of weeks ago. And this is the bands debut 5 track EP. And as I have come to expect from WFAWM all their music is amazing. Fast paced, crunching, aggressive hardcore for all you crazy kids. While the album is probably more instant, the songs on here possibly have more depth and take a little longer to get into.

This bands drummer must be a sight to behold!! And if the shit-quick drums aren’t enough to get you going crazy, just get a drift of those guitars. Oh my gawd. This is stunning. And the vocals ooze anger. This will knock you out. If I saw this band live, I would go nuts.

Hardcore baaaybeee! This is just the best stuff around right now. Miss this, and you’re missing out. Take the final track “Distance” for example. I don’t think hardcore has ever been so amazing. With this EP and the release of their new album, this band will go on the map as one of the most influential and stunning of a new breed of hardcore bands in the 90’s. And I’m sure that they will continue their prowess into the new millenium.

Xtrue till deathX.
