Can Revelation do no wrong? After coming to the inevitable conclusion that the downloadable song on the Revelation website did indeed rock it was only gonna be a matter of time before I picked up ‘the weapon’. And I’m not disappointed either because this album is fucking excellent. 15 songs equating to 21 and a half minutes of straight ahead, youth crew styled hardcore with the occasional chunky melodic breakdown lobbed into the fray to help break things up. At this point better reviewers would probably bombard you with references to a number of seminal hardcore outfits… But instead I’m just gonna say that over the past week songs such as ‘sidetracked’, ‘under the bridge’ and ‘are you happy?’ have been my number one source of inspiration and motivation. Positive music? Fucking aye.
