Gonna admit to a somewhat staggering feat of ignorance here and tell you all that, prior to this, I’d never actually heard the Zero Boys. Christ. How did I ever get by without tracks like New Generation, Civilization’s Dying or Hightime in my life? It’s feisty, early-days hardcore (thanks is given to the likes of HÜsker DÜ, SSD, Flipper and the FUs”¦) that packs a huge, catchy pop wallop whilst still rocking like an utter motherfucker. Bands like Regulations and No Hope For the Kids are all over this style at the moment and frankly this rip-roaring outing sounds just as goddamn fresh and vital as any of “em. Totally essential!
