Previously a fairly disappointing outfit given the quality of the bandname (I’m serious) and the pedigree of the line-up (those looking for an emo link may find the presence of wildly talented Party of Helicopters guitarist Jamie Stillman reassuring, although confusingly he drums on this), TOTH have suddenly pulled something very rocking indeed out the hat. It motors up into some fine High On Fire-esque hammering on a more than regular basis, though TOTH are not nearly as heavy and more traditional in the bluesy melodic sense. On the more drawn-out numbers, interest can wane, but it’s certainly not a bad effort. The artwork on this is beautiful too.
