Trencher comes of age, or rather they sort of do, because when you play scatological circus grind powered by turbocharged bass, spastic drums and a malenky bit of horrorshow organ over the top, you aren’t really going to come over all mature like. But that’s fine, because with noise as entertaining as this, I can forgive them for anything. Trencher are very serious about making ferocious music that still has an appealingly humourous edge to it (that brain-drilling organ “helps””) with a real knack for making things chop and change all the time while keeping it surprisingly catchy. It means they’re mining the depths that the narrow constraints of the genre and their choice of instrumentation afford rather than going through the motions. Keep it up you nutbars!”
