If Volvo made a punk record, it would be this. Sturdy, reliable, nothing too surprising. Even the case is boxy! None of this is a bad thing as Under Pressure adequately prove with their rock-solid (rather than stolid), mid-tempo (which allows the songs to breathe), totally unoriginal (which allows me to sit back and relax a bit) punk fucking rock. There are hints of Naked Raygun in the inventive chordplay and a bit of Tragedy in the vocals, although the melodic edge is all their own. Great lyrics. Fine album.
