Staathaat’s beautifully presented first release combines the intensely negative vibes of Dystopia, the crushing black-hole heaviness of Corrupted and the raging hardcore attack of His Hero Is Gone, so while all this means you’re probably not going to find anything exactly new here, the list of influences is so completely unfuckwithable it hardly matters! Staathaat are truly hardcore, with unpredictable and exciting shifts in tempo, heavy yet catchy riffs and totally deathly roars. I like my music either very slow or very fast, and Staathaat do the former most of the time, so base your purchase on that more than anything else. Rest assured though, they do both very well.
