Epideme - OOO-O / Threatenings - 7

Here’s a short but sweet volley from this Brighton-based trio, positively brimming with youthful spunk and energetic vigour that neatly straddles gawky indie and hardcore noisery. There’s plenty of stopping and starting driven by the hectic drums, with some really smart call and response vocals between the two guitarists. They deal largely in crash bang wallop guitar abuse, but there is some complex widdling in there too and none of it sounds wimpy. While it is all very confusing, the listener gets whipped along in the flow and it’s all over before you know it. Good little record.
