Flagitious Idiosyncracy In The Dilapidation - s/t - CD (2008)

First off, let’s call them FID as I can’t be arsed typing that bloody name out again. These Japanese grind dames first burst onto the scene on a split 7″ with Insect Warfare that came with the last issue of Short Fast And Loud, and managed to more than hold their own in intimidating company. This 17 tracker showcases some agreeably mental grindcore in that modern Nasum-esque heavy style, with plenty of melodic rocking moments in a Pig Destroyer style (though not in as twistily inventive a manner) and plenty of harshness (though not as heavy or stripped down as the aforementioned Insect Warfare). Still, it’s very well performed, with great vocals that go high to low especially rapidly, ensuring FID make a damn good racket.
