Hrm, have to say I wish I’d eased up on the ol’ triggerfinger with this one before wantonly adding it to the e-cart, being as it is a shallow mashing together of splits with Converge and Violent Society rather than anything new or worthwhile. The a-side has the legendary grinders marmalising Sabbath’s “Cornocopia” as part of Hydrahead’s “In These Black Days” series, keeping the riffs intact but ultimately adding nothing of note and clearly playing more for their own amusement than anyone else’s. Over on the flip is a straightforward stab at MDC’s “Born To Die” which pounds along at a reasonable enough rate whilst failing to set the world alight with its meat n’ potatoes delivery, leaving this particular outing as just another play-once-then-never-again duffer to clutter up your collection.
