Ah, the mighty, mighty Marked Men. I believe the band is sadly coming to the end of their active period, but at least they are going to drop one more LP on us before going into hibernation. This here 7″ contains two tracks, the opening of which is “Fortune”, which is a total blazer that sounds pretty much how you’d expect this band to sound. Distorted melodies played at a break neck pace, which is pretty much the kind of thing to guaranteed to make me smile. All the aspects of this band that make them so great are present. Just go and listen to them. Then you’ll void the neccessity of this shitty review. This song is going to be on the forthcoming LP I believe. On the flip is a retro power-popper where they slow things down a bit but totally bring the melody and whatnot. This track is pretty solid, but the Marked Men have at least 30 songs that are better. Regardless, this is a great 7″, and you should get it.
