The name and artwork suggests a D.C. emo hardcore group in the classic Hoover mould, and once you’re past the initial bout of looped electronics, that certainly comes through in the mathy, rocky, angular nature of it all. Then something odd happens, as pretty soon you’re in darkly complex, grooving Tool-esque territory, together with more weirdo noise interludes than are strictly necessary, stretching out track lengths considerably. Not something I’d revisit often, but it’s different at the very least.
