Lords Of Light - Electric Sun - 12

Labels: Studio Geordie
Review by: Alex Deller

Strange days as ever from these fucking weirdos, this time around peddling five scatty tracks that run the gamut of their record collections and maybe those of their parents to boot. From slightly-unconvincing doses of spindly powerviolence through late 60s psych, Karpish rumbles and infrequent bursts of sloppy, raucous punk it’s all here, churning restlessly away and always on the brink of yet another unpredictable stylistic shift. Howls, yowls, yells and off-key sing-song do the trick by way of vocals, all mashed together in as willy-nilly way as the music itself and making for the latest in a series of recordings that’s either going to have you in Ritalin-deprived seventh heaven or climbing the walls in sheer brain-boiling frustration.
