Wakey wakey, it’s radio ready indie rock, from Wakefield. I kind of think that if you are in a band that comes from Wakefield, you should sound like you can play some Rugby League. Tres Macacos don’t sound like that. They sound like a run of the mill indie band from up north. Their Myspace bio says they are fans of Kings of Leon and bands like that. And Keith Burton. I don’t we ever reviewed Keith Burton and his Beef Curtain, for whatever reason. Was that guy in a Wakey pop punk band? I don’t know why I think that. Anyway. This asinine waffling is on a par with the music to be honest, it’s all well executed but simply put it’s just not the kind of thing that I am ever going to bother listening to. They don’t fuck up, they can sing pretty well (in their Wakey accents), and they could get a support slot with Kaiser Chiefs or sell out a Leeds toilet and get a good number of fans on Myspace. Yet this is not really Collective Zine fodder to be honest TM, all the best though.
