This lot aren’t going to win fans with that big bastard name, but at least they’ve got some big bastard riffs to match it.
If you’re at all into a bit of Breach or older Envy, you should check out some of the satisfyingly crunchy jams GSKC are kicking out. Ten minutes per song has been about eight too many in my recent experience, but instead of sinking into this bullshit post-metal bog so many more popular bands are finding themselves in, GSKC keep things heavy and epic with structural shifts that flow real well.
There’s even some tasteful use of cello, although the sax is pushing it. Tres bon!
