This band added me a while back on Myspace and like so many other bands that I accept, I completely forgot about them for a while before having a good listen.
Truth is, it doesn’t seem as though I was missing out on much. Judging by the first track, ‘Cass’ Clockwork Army’, I thought this might be up my street; a few tracks later I realised it wasn’t and that I don’t really like it at all. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a few pretty instrumentals in there and a couple of twiddles which are quite enjoyable but it just seems as though they’re going through the motions. There’s a definite potential there but at the the moment this is half-baked screamo at best. Kids really need to start stepping their game up with this screamo business – everything’s been done! This sort of thing won’t impress me! Their Myspace says that they’re currently ‘reinventing’ themselves. Let’s hope it’s for the better.
