These guys are one of the big hitters it seems in the current lo-fi garage / punk boom. Not entirely sure why, as what they boil down to sounding like is really badly recorded Ramones style stuff. I guess having your singer dress up as a bunny really makes the difference? “Give It To Me” is painfully mid-paced, taking much from the formative rock and roll sounds of the 60s. Sleazy and uninspired. B-side “Motorhead With Me” is recorded in a cupboard and more of the same, ultra basic punk rock. No Bunny is clearly quite happy to be a crass, juvenile outfit and I guess there is plenty of appeal in that. Similarily a lot of people love music that is stripped of all redeeming features, just a bunch of fuck ups doing the shittiest thing they can think of. I admire the sentiment, but I can’t be arsed to listen to their music any more than they can be arsed to make it.
