Was kinda expecting some kind of d-beat thing given the cover, but it turns out these guys play earnest hard rock that’s tuneful enough but stodgy with it. The first three songs plod along like some kind of Finnish Nickleback with crunchy riffs and croony vocals while the fourth and final number pulls out a few more stops and is chest-beatingly Manowarish in message and delivery, making Hittegods unlikely fodder for many folks around these parts, unless there are far more sawn-off denim jackets and Guns N’ Roses bandanas hidden away than we ever could have predicted.
