Back on track after the mild disappointment of that Painkiller 7″, Hatred Surge have released their first proper full-length and it’s a right fucking belter. They’ve kept the dense, murky, buried-in-wet-sand production of that last release intact but shifted back towards the face-smashing power violence of their first 7″ for 625 and the split they shared with the Endless Blockade, melding a good old dose of lurking, low-end plunges and broken tendon bass clunks with frantic blurts of froth-mouthed speed and, of course, those ravening boy-girl trade-offs. Sick, savage and without a doubt one of the better hardcore LPs of the year.
