The most famous Spring offensive would be that of the German’s during the Great War, pushing up against the Western Front before that most wastefully attritional of grim wars ground to a halt not long after. Spring Offensive are a thousand times tamer than their name would suggest, playing mediocre post rock influenced indie, with little jazzy touches and overly familiar, indie boy vocals that you have heard in a billion similar bands that fancied themselves as the next big thing. This is utterly dull. Reprehensible tosh fusing tedious film soundtrack style noodles with over done vocals and delusions of grandeur. This is typical, overblown indie for fans of the Verve and Muse, and other shit shit that I am glad I don’t listen to but I know it’s shit anyway. No-one reading this cocking website cares about indie shite. WHY SEND US THIS. WHY AM I EVEN REVIEWING IT, WASTING MY LIFE. I AM NOT EVEN THAT ANGRY ABOUT IT, JUST PRETENDING. IT’S NOT WORTH IT. ALTHOUGH I’VE JUST SPOTTED THAT THIS BAND IS FROM OXFORD, HOME OF THE SHITTIEST INDIE BANDS IN THE WORLD.
