Heavy, hazy riff rock from these three fellas, each of the six tracks clomping around like a grumpy bear with its foot stuck in a bucket. Leaden riffs bash frantically about in a way that’s part Harvey Milk and part Led Zep while the occasional tangling flourishes suggest perhaps a fondness for Keelhaul and the slightly bemused yells recall Bilge Pump gone Ozzy. Serviceable enough, then, and if next time around they manage a production job that doesn’t sound like each player was in a different room while they were recorded from the front lawn we might just be talking.
